Other than the occasional “horse whisperer,” most of us can’t talk to our horses. But there’s no doubt that they communicate with us.
Because they can’t tell us when something’s wrong, you know to watch for behavioral clues. It’s up to us to identify those signs, and understand what they mean. That’s not easy.
Since digestive imbalance is common in our horses today, we may not have a good frame of reference. In other words, we may not know what a truly healthy horse even looks like. Therefore, we have to consider the possibility that behaviors we have taken for granted may actually be the result of digestive imbalance. And when the situation is more serious — when a digestive health issue has reached a clinical condition — the horse’s behavior may be more pronounced. |
